Welcome to Alwatania International Holding (P.Q.S.C.), where we are always learning, developing, and growing.

 

Our journey started in 1964 with Mr. Walid Alkhiyami co-founding QNIE. What started then as a food distribution company has evolved into a group of companies operating in FMCG Distribution, Logistics, Food Manufacturing, IT and real-estate, leaving a lasting imprint on every corner of the Qatari market.

 

As we navigate the future, we remain focused on achieving new milestones by continuously investing in our people, infrastructure and fostering valuable partnerships, leading to sustainable and profitable growth.

Managing Director

  • Sheikh Faisal Fahad J M Al-Thani, Chairman
    Sheikh Faisal is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company and has held this role since 2009. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering and a PhD in Project Finance from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. He is one of the leading business figures in Qatar and has served as a Board Member of leading local companies in Qatar, including United Development Company and Aamal Company since 2019. In addition, he is the chairman of Alnamaa Real Estate Development Co. Sheikh Faisal was a Board Member at Commercial Bank – Qatar and held a high executive role at Shell, Qatar Petroleum, and British Petroleum.
  • Mr. Ihsan Walid Alkhiyami, Vice Chairman and Managing Director
    Ihsan Alkhiyami has more than 36 years of business experience. Currently, he is the Group Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Alwatania International Holding. Ihsan joined Qatar National Import and Export Company in 1987. He has been the Vice Chairman of AlNamaa Real Estate Development since 2003, the Vice Chairman of Arla Foods Qatar since 2005, and the Vice Chairman of Golden Tulip Doha Hotel since 2016. He is also the Chairman of Alkhiyami Holding Company B.C.S.C. (Bahrain) and a member of The Qatari Businessmen Association(QBA). Ihsan holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology (AAST).
  • Mr. Saoud Saad Alsaad Alkuwari, Board Member
    Saoud Alkuwari is a member of the Board of Directors of the Company since 2014. He holds a degree in Land Navigation Instruments Engineering from the College of Civil Aviation of Qatar and a diploma in Precision Instruments. He is the Chairman of the board of directors of several companies, including Al-Duha Trading and Contracting, Jersey Decoration, Dar Al-Salam School, Al-Shamail Group, and Al-Imtiaz Real Estate.
  • Mr. Khaled Walid Alkhiyami, Board Member / Chief Investment Officer
    Khaled Alkhiyami has been a Board Member of the Group since 2009. With 26 years of business experience, Khaled is the Managing Director of Alwatania International Investment & Real Estate Development since 2014. He is a board member and managing director of Alnamaa Real Estate Development WLL and Vice Chairman of Alkhiyami Holding Company B.C.S.C. (Bahrain). He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from the University of North Texas and an MBA from the University of Dallas.
  • Mr. Mohamed Zein Alkhiyami, Board Member / Chief Business Development Officer
    Mohamed Zein has been a Board Member of the Group since 2009. With 23 years of business experience, he held an executive high role in Qatar National Import & Export. Mohamed is a Board Member of Alkhiyami Holding Company B.C.S.C. (Bahrain). He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Northwood – Texas, USA.
  • Mr. Hassan Walid Alkhiyami, Acting Group CEO
    Hassan Alkhiyami has been a Board Member of the Group since 2009 and has 20 years of business experience. He served as the Chief Operating Officer in Qatar National Import and Export from Jun ’13 to Oct’17, Business Development Manager from Oct ’10 to May ’13, Division Manager from Jul ’06 to Sept ’10, and Logistics Manager from Dec ’03 to Jun ’06. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration—Logistics Management from the University of North Texas and an MBA from HEC Paris, Doha. Currently, he is working towards a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar.
